Back in the 1990’s, Todd Gouett (President – Specified Roofing) started a grass roots construction business that quickly grew to include roof maintenance, repair and replacement.

Todd had spent years working in a variety of construction trades during his high school and university years. Realizing how much he enjoyed the business, Todd established a residential construction firm, focusing on home renovation.

In 1990, an opportunity to move into the industrial/commercial roofing field (with a leading material manufacturer) presented itself. Never one to turn his back on opportunity, Todd “seized the day”, acting as Technical Sales Representative for his new venture. Todd’s love for the construction trades caused him to keenly observe the role industrial/commercial roofing contractors hold in the construction industry. Todd began to envision a return to the service provider side of the business.

From a meager beginning (operating with a old car towing a 4’ x 8’ trailer) the Specified Roofing journey unfolded. Although gleaming new trucks were just a dream back then, Todd realized the need to present a professional, reliable corporate image. Todd’s standards built the business on the strong foundation of strong customer relationships, professionalism and reliability.

Today, we’re proud to say Specified Roofing is an industry leader. Our team (field, office and management personnel) strive to sustain and grow an organization supportive of workplace health and safety and to the community at large. Our client base includes many national corporations as well as local institutions and small businesses.
